Incoming! Nomos Lambda 39

This is a very special watch in my opinion, and I'm delighted and lucky to own it. The general consensus (on forums!) seems to be that it's overpriced, but I wanted a gold dress watch, 38-40mm, simple and elegant but also a bit more interesting than the standard Calatrava look, and honestly think this piece represents decent value compared to the competition (even at retail price, and I paid nowhere near that!). I'm also a huge Nomos fan, so the chance to own their flagship watch means a lot to me. In person it's a stunning piece in my opinion, understated yet special (and rare - I'm pretty certain I'll never see another one!). The finishing quality is fantastic too, and I enjoy looking at the front and back of the watch equally!

Congrats! Stunning watch, I imagine it wears larger than the 39 mm due to the thin bezel and long lugs.

Yes a little, not too much though because it's so thin, and the lugs curve down nicely. I do think the 42mm model they also do would have too big for me though (I have a seven and a third inch wrist, quite flat on the top).

Beautiful, congratulations!

At full retail price it is difficult not to be persuaded by the brand recognition of his competitors but this is a fantastic timepiece in its own right.

It's a lovely piece, and I commend you for going off the beaten patch at that price point. Wear in good health.

Excuse the poor photo, but apparently the hand engraved text says "Made with Love in Glashütte" in German ... I love the way the writing is a bit messy; human, not machine!

Huge congrats!!!! Great watch and company.

Whoever says these are overpriced has not ever handled one and looked at it closely.

This watch and a Cellini are about the same price. This is, IMHO, a far better looking option. Their value prop right now is incredible. Especially in SS. There is not a watch within $1000+ that touches my Metro PR.
