AP chrono question

Seen a few times now on these forums people talking about hopefully AP user in house movement for there chronograph. What does this mean exactly, are the movements in AP chronograph not AP movements ?
If someone could explain a little please.

They use a modified F Piguet movement in their chronos (as do Vacheron)

Very highly regarded movement.

As Stu said the Royal Oak Chrono's use a modified F. Piguet movement but the offshore chronos use the in-house AP 3120 movement with a Dubois Dupraz chronograph module on top. I hope this helps!

All good comments. The modified F Piguet movement has been used in the ROC since its inception with the 25860. It is also used in other chronographs like the VC 49140 and 49150 (not the new ones as mentioned before), Blancpain Leman, and I believe a Cartier or two (Pasha). I own three watches with this movement and they're great and have been very reliable.
