Price positioning of new Lange models...

New Lange 1 (white gold), 38.5mm, with its stunning new moon phase system: EUR 39,500.

New 1815 (white gold), 40mm, with the same new moon phase system + 'Annual Calendar': EUR 37,500.

Does it make any sense? When I saw the new 1815 AC I thought it would cost at least 5K more than the Lange 1 MP...

I noticed that too. I guess they're trying to maintain some kind of separation between lines ... makes the 1815 a (relative!) bargain though.

I'd rather the AC anyway, would have liked to see lower pricing ala the Saxonia, if the AC was $25k that would be something.

They priced the new 1815 AC aggressively while giving it a new movement.

Are you sure its the same moon phase system i.e day/night indicator on the AC?
I've only seen pics with the night background.

The AC is pretty cool, does it have an awesome movement like the 1815 chrono does or is it not so nice?

IMHO, the Saxonia AC looks better than 1815AC. I found that the dial of 1815AC is too busy.

Maybe but the movement of the 1815's are awesome, so if it's close to the chrono I'll take the 1815 any day

It is not a chronograph - it doesn't have a chronograph movement.

I also prefer the saxonia iteration. More harmonious.
