I feel the red just gives it a bit of pop.

Using OEM parts is just modding so no big deal and this looks fantastic. My days of meddling are over, I don't even change straps much any more, there was a time I had twenty straps in the house for my watches and was changing something over most weeks.

Really like some mods, others not so much. I will always be a fan of making something your own and enjoying it as you wish.

If you want to customize your sub then why did you buy it in the first place. The thing with submariner is it such an iconic watch that without even owning one you have actually already owned one. Every Seiko, tag, Breitling, citizen or any other crap homage had already gotten you used to it. I don't count omega because they are iconic in their own right. Go and by an Invicta before you mess up you Rolex

dislike most, but subtle tasteful modifications are fine.

There have been a few Bamford watches I've actually thought looked okay, like black dial/bezel YMII, and a black/white Milgauss, but still would prefer without the coated case and just visually are pretty simple designs. But I still wouldn't ever consider buying one.

Depends what it is. Colored date wheels or second hands or other easily reversible mods, why not. In the end it is your watch. Do as you please.

Not a Rolex and was met with mixed reviews.

I always wanted to ask, is it easy to swap the normal black Sub dial with the Hulk or Bluesy sunburst dial?

It's easy if you know what you doing and have the parts.

If you mean by customization having the watches ceramic coated not a fan, my mods are just restricted to having the matte areas polished such as lugs, middle section of the bracelet, clasp so that's it.
I am aware that by doing my own thing the watch might be losing some of its value but that's not something I am too enthusiastic about

I am printing out this post and hanging it on the wall in my office. It will be used on my MENSA application.

Have not had the guts to try it with the BBR and the BBN yet. Afraid the gilt color won't match perfectly. Love the brushed bracelet on the Daytona. Another example of easily reversible if you even want to go back.

The round plots and snowflake hands always struck me as odd. One day I looked at my Tudor sub and decided I needed to get a set of 2824 Merc hands.

Thanks for the compliment.

Never a fan of customisation moreso with Rolex. I always keep my Rolex as stock.
The only customisation i ever did was to Panerai on straps.
I am a boring guy when it comes to watches.

It's simple.. It's your Rolex.. Modify if you want to.. It's not for everyone but if you like it who cares.. Hopefully by the end of next week my Rolex Daytona Ceramic Bezel will be installed.. It's here and ready!
