I travel a decent amount, so I picked 3 watches that fit the criteria below that are all GMT watches:
1) JLC Master Hometime 2) Omega Planet Ocean GMT 3) JLC Ultra Thin Reverso Duo Quote:

116710BLNRs
Hi eamonn345, the 166710BLNR would be a day watch. And another the casual/dress-down time piece, and another would be a dress watch. There's no need for more than three.

I thought I had the perfect collection
a few years ago, but I based it on popular references.
And now I have a collection based on what I really wear every day and miss on my wrist if I don't wear them. Go figure... |

My collection is nothing to brag on or show. In fact, two are not collectible. But, here goes:
Day: Tudor Submariner w/black face-bezel on bracelet (NATO/nylon at times) Dress down: Casio Illuminator Dress: an inexpensive stainless steel 3 hand dress watch on a leather strap Great thread.....I am enjoying it.

If I had to go 3, I would go:
1) Daytona C white (have) 2) Sub no date on everest strap (likely to get) 3) OP 39mm Rodium (probably not get as it would take wrist time from 1 and 2) All I would wear casual or with suit, but all have different bezel types and dial colors. I waffle between sub and GMT bc I travel a lot and would like the GMT function but find the bezel much too busy for me. |

IF forced to pair down to 3 I would choose:
16600 - daily watch 16710 - travel watch 16520 - dress/special occasion watch I would be very happy with those 3! Cheers |

As many have said, three would be a big struggle for me, but these three are (will be really as I've only just acquired the BLRO) my "inner circle" which form my daily rotation.

Day Watch: AP 15300 (2nd place: Daytona 116520)
Dress Down: Sea-Dweller (2nd place: Speedy Pro) http://i1144.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMG_5310.jpg Dress Up: JLC Master Calendar (2nd place: Lange 1815 RG) http://i1144.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMG_5316.jpg I'd also add a category of vintage, which I think stands on its own and apart from the OP's three buckets. |

I've narrowed it down to this:
1. Everyday watch which I own already and it's my first Rolex is a 114060. I added an Everest rubber watch band using the Rolex clasp. With Rolex SS band or Everest band feel I have 2 watches in 1. It's a great everyday work watch. 2. Next week I'm adding BLNR. Plan to wear couple of days per week for work and what not. 3. Will added a DJ 2/fluted/silver stick dial for dressing up and more formal occasion. When I looked at Rolex these 3 watches called my name. I'm more of a sporty watch type of guy. I go to many sporting events here in Miami. Dolphins game. Heat games. Many nice daily weekend outings. BLNR and 114060 great for that. Eventually a DJ2 will seal the deal with formal, weddings, nice dinner outings at nice restaurants. I'm a bar hopping guy BTW. Regardless I'll try my next best to wear all 3 evenly but I know 114060 and BLNR will get the most use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
