Not a must, but they make great pieces at an attractive price point. I've gone through a few JLCs but this is all that remains.

Same here, great value and love the JLC logo but the pointed hour markers just don't quite do it for me, would save more for a Lange; MP, 1 or Richard.

Too many great watches to own, if I had a collection of 5-6+ watches, then yes JLC would be a must own for me, less than that definitely hard to make a case for them over Rolex, AP, PP, ALS, etc.

JLC is one of my favorite brands. I've had these:

But now I only have one, the most classic JLC, the Reverso !

Is JLC a “must have” in your collection?

Duometre is amazing as is the extreme lab 2. Not for everyone but technologically and at the price point they are hard to beat.

Edit: pure coincidence - wearing the 976 today.

Im a fan of the brand.

This will stay in my collection and won't be sold.

I'd like to add a Master Ultra Thin Moon and a modern Memovox in the future.

I like them but not a must have, unlike the trend I have never been a fan of the reverso, idea is cool the shape is not for me.

I've had a Reverso & 2 steel Master Controls. Reverso never fit right & the Master Controls quickly got boring. Some people like the monotone silver dials but I quickly got tired of them. I wouldn't mind having a rose gold piece & some of their high end pieces are pretty amazing as well.

Yea I agree, the silver dials can get boring and legibility isn't great. I like their white frosted dials and the eggshell rose gold ones. The MUT Perpetual in white gold has a lovely white grained dial and black nickel indices.

That's a great looking strap! Can you post some more pictures and a wristshot? I'm also wondering which brand the strap is and where you got it?

IMO, JLC makes the best dress watch for the money. The Ultra Thin Moon is on my short list.

That's why they call it the watchmakers watch!

The reverso is austere, elegant, timeless, wears well, rare compared to subs, and is a must

I mean, nice watches... MUT, that amazing meteorite dial and so on. But saying JLC is a 'must have' is a bit too much imho. I love many watches and brands out there, but there are only three truly 'must have' brands: PP, AP and Rolex (each for a different reason of course). Others which are ubberly nice, but which I've been able to live without thus far -hardly though- are: ALS and FPJ.

There's a reason that JLC is known as the "watchmaker's watch". I don't know if they belong in every collection but they belong in mine!

Well made and reasonably priced watches. Many models in stainless without the premium of pm.

Agree that it's not a must have, but would love to have 1, the one with an alarm, in my small collection.
