First Rolex! 6694 Oysterdate Precision

Hello all! First post here. After years of being a Cartier and and Omega guy, I'm taking the jump into Rolex and am loving every minute of it. Picked up a '73 6694 in sweet condition at an even sweeter price, with an Oyster bracelet. Small watch but wears large, it's a great piece.

Whoever said Rolex, specifically vintage Rolex, is a rabbit hole, they were right!! Now I can't stop...I'm in love!

:)

ODP is a great watch. The 1225 calibre is a great movement. Easy to maintain and even though not chronometer rated it usually would make that.

Passed on a 6694 a couple of years ago and am now kicking myself. Currently can't find one that is as perfect as that one was....Congrats!

Its a very underrated watch. Its only a 35mm case but uses a 19mm bracelet. It wears bigger than it actually is. I picked up a 1977 last year with an original 78350 bracelet in immaculate condition and its one of my favorite daily wearers.

I have the silver dial and it doesn't get as much wear as it should: I'm thinking of adding the Mickey Mouse repaint to inspire me to wear it more.

Nice 6694 and currently I am considering the 6694 black dial gold baton as well. Just asking export opinion from our forum members before pull the trigger.

Thanks everyone!! Really loving it. Also pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the oyster bracelet is (non rivet). Really quite something.

Such a classic look. Was great in the late 50s (?) when we first saw this styling, and it looks so current 50 years later.

And the smooth bezel is such a clean, crisp look.

A great watch fella
