Rolex 6202 Turnograph by seller tonnywatches. Real or Fake?

It does not look right, and the price seems very low to me.

Maybe I am wrong, but the date stamp on the case back looks very big. I would be worried about purchasing this watch. I'm new here, so please go easy on me if I am wrong. Thank you.

Here is the link. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...mtid=824&kw=lg

Welcome, and you are not wrong (good eye)! That seller appears to have a history of putting together frankens with fake parts (dials, cases, etc.): http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=482663
To clarify, I don't think the "big" date stamp on the case back is a concern by itself. However, I can't see much that is correct on this one, other than maybe the movement.

I wouldn't touch anything he had for sale.

I wonder why this watch has gotten taken down. Anybody have an idea of why ebay would allow this to not get cancelled?

I understand that thought, but they take plenty of other things down. By the way, that watch is at $4,800 now... and it is a guaranteed fake.

funnily enough, this watch is currently at $5150 with like 20 minutes remaining. Of course 5150 is the California Code for the criminally insane. Made famous by a Van Halen album called "5150"

You would have to be insane to pay any amount for this watch, so that price is perfect irony.

It closed at $8,605. Will ebay possibly delete the listing after the fact? After it has closed? I'm sure they got lots of reports on this watch.

That is great to see. You must really have some good influence with ebay!

was on the verge of buying his 6202 when I came across this thread, thank god. looks like tonnywatches is trying to move his delisted eBay products on Carousell. (Carousell is kind of like a Singaporean version of Craigslist)
any thoughts?

I've mentioned before tht tonnywatches is a seller/maker of "quality" fake Rolex dials for the replica market.
