For being fake , I assume that's what the thumbs down on previous post meant ?

No?

To report a timepiece, you need to state why its fake! So what is fake about this watch?

Ok maybe I won't report it then , don't really want people to know what the tells are if it is fake and I don't know that it is

So in your opinion it looks legit other than the band missing ?

Anyway it's ended now , I asked if I could p/up ,declined delivery only , even though we are both in same city, I suppose for safety that's reasonable.

I then asked some basic questions like why no box or papers ? And if I where to win it you are confident I could take it in to an AD and have the movement checked out as authentic ?

No response , yeh bye bye !

Update: the seller guaranteed authenticity, I said I would a second opinion and he was okay with that, even offered a full refund. However he said that his "brother" would be shipping from Thailand. I have just asked for a refund. Fingers crossed

Maybe those more expert than me who can identify this watch as a fake from these pictures can say why they believe it to be a fake?

I cannot see anything concerning and I'm sure it would help me (and others) if they say what is is that aroused their suspicions?

PayPal thank god! :) thanks!
Yeah honestly to me, I can't see anything wrong with the pictures. But then again I am a complete novice to the Rolex scene. I would also be interested in knowing what the signs are for this watch being fake?

It just seems odd that the seller is adamant on its authenticity and offering a full refund if I am not happy. Although he is usually quick to reply and has not replied for some hours since I mentioned a refund.

Update: seller has replied and still stands by the money back guarantee. I have told him to wait out on the refund until I get some clarification from somebody more knowledgeable :)hopefully on here!

seller not having watch or watch being shipped from other location by relative, etc. = red flag. In my experience that's only happened to me when a seller is trying to scam me.

Good luck OP!

Maybe the mods can merge the threads somehow , as there are 2 threads running on the same watch, I didn't bid for it.

I hope it works out for you Gouldy8

is there any other way this section ever works?

the ask after the purchase is pretty much half of all threads in here...

the one in the 10 looks too long, the tail on the 5 in the loop also looks too long, also see that the one in the Cyclops has pointed edges, should be straight

Hilarious! "Brother shipping from Thailand" and you told him to hold off on refund after numerous people here suspect its fake? Good luck with this bro.
