Is it real ?
I have a trade offer pending. Unfortunately the gentleman has no box or paper work. These are the pictures I have to date, we are going to speak today to iron out details.
What do you think ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Bezel numbers seem dark...though that could be lighting.
Going to get a lot of "buy the seller"...how well do you know him? Suggest a meet at an AD who can open it up before buying |

We are in different countries. I checked his feedback on wus and he is an eight year guy, has positive feedback, but nothing this big. Gentleman wants to talk on phone so that is assuring. Really want to ask is it worth it but that's subjective.

I can see 3 items that concern me.
Based on that and very limited and poor photos, I would act with extreme caution. Based on what I see, my belief is fake. UPDATED HERE: http://www.rolexforums.com/showpost....8&postcount=16 A

I try to help buyers not get duped by pointing out my opinion if genuine or fake. I do not help the scammers by pointing out the details.
However if a mod or a acknowledged poster like "crowncollections" PM'd me, I would be happy to point out my concerns privately Adam

Yes, I take that bit back. I should have said additional photos.
I would want better photos of the dial and rehaut, is what I meant adam

The dial was the first thing that drew my attention, but I know how difficult it is to capture photos w/o a high res camera and skill set. The watch also wasn't obviously a safe queen by the looks of the sweat in the case back. I personally wipe mine down every time b4 I even put them on as a ritual.

At further inspection the 12 o'clock end link don't seem to fit perfectly. I leaning on not doing the deal unless the gentleman would let me take it to my dealer and I personally wouldn't send my six thousand dollar watch to a stranger w/o a security or escrow

Well, I am going to do a "U" turn on my original comment.
My first concern was the limited photo of the rehaut - I thought I saw an issue, looking more closely, it is fine. The other two points were less important. So to me based on what I see, its probably OK. To confirm, better/more photos of rehaut and of course movement. Adam

This is killing me, I'm liquidating my collection to go all Rolex. Such a huge step for a blue collar guy that has been saving and trading for 20 years. Not crying just expressing my fears

I agree end link does not look perfect, neither 1 screw on bracelet. But my main concern was dial and rehaut, and I now eliminated that. You must ask seller for better photos of rehaut, especially at 6, 9 and 12 O clock Sorry adam

Plenty of other options here in the US. If you aren't comfortable, pass on this one.

When in doubt go AD. Save a lil more and buy brand new. Or reputable dealers.

Something looks horribly off with that insert and even in bad lighting I've never seen a real one look like that.

It may very well be that what you see in the photos may not be what you actually receive

I see a few iffy's. Wider 9 marker did it for me after a few others.

That watch is a 100% (obvious) fake.
