Can any one advise on authenticity please
Hello Guys and Gals, hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and Santa brought you all new time pieces :-)
I am on the look out for a vintage piece and wondering if you could advise if this is genuine or altered? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-1600...8AAOSw-itXtNGh Kind regards, James |

It looks genuine in my eyes, and if you pay using paypal, you can always get your money back if the watch, does not live up to the description in the auction ..
Ask the seller if there is any kind of service history on the watch, and whether it's 1601 or 16013 model, since the last one, have the newer 3035 movement with quickset. Both models are possible on a 1979 datejust . . . |

Appears ok to me as well but ask yourself why someone selling a multiple thousand dollar watch would take the blurriest photos from a disposable camera.
