Quick Poll/Opinions re: BLRO Purchase
I have the opportunity to pick up a White gold Pepsi GMT BLRO but it requires part exchanging two other watches and a bit of cash to top it up. Interested to hear what you guys think I should do...
All watched concerned are 2016 pieces, pre owned, including the GMT I'm thinking of getting and I'm not interested in picking up an old steel pepsi GMT so that's not an option. The deal is Black Dial Deepsea + White Dial Daytona + £4k cash for the WG GMT. |

Sounds like a fair deal, but do you really want to consolidate?

That actually sounds pretty fair. I think I would do it.

I would do it especially if I had enough left over to afford a steel beater like a 16570.

Maybe with US pricing, it's an OK deal, but not sure at UK where steel DeepSea supposedly isn't discounted much?
Say $11k DS, $11k Daytona, and $5k cash...That's $27k for the GMT. Seems high to me. Is this swap with a dealer or private deal? |

Not sure about the conversion but as far as watches go yes. I would get rid of a black dial DSSD and steel bezel Daytona. If the DSSD were blue and Daytona Ceramic then I'd say no

I would do the deal. For me the WG GMT is better than the two you are trading. You can always adjust if the BLRO does not work for you.

I say no, imho simply because it's two nice watches (+ cash) for one nice watch.

I would definitely say no. The deal sounds pretty shitty, especially because there is so much cash involved. I would keep the daytona and the deepsea. Or alternatively, look for another trade where the cash component isn't more than a $1,000 - if you really want it! But otherwise it seems like a rip-off. I would rather just trade the DSSD for the BLNR. After that if you are still craving the BLRO then you can make the leap.

Your trade includes a 116500, a 116660, plus about $5,000 USD?

I agree with you. In the US, that is a bad deal. You can pick up a preowned BLRO for $23K easy. Personally, I wouldn't even consider taking that deal unless I was the one with the BLRO.

I prefer the BLRO over the other the two and price seems fair so I would be down for the trade.

Think of it this way. You have two in house watch movements and you'll be getting one in return. I understand your getting gold too, but go out an buy some gold and keep the watches. |

Exactly my thoughts or even if it was just the DB. Moneywise I think it sounds pretty fair, even if you pay a bit more it's much less hassle to do all in one.

Too much to give. How can you give up D500 white no less. Too much $$ on your side

He did say they were all 2016 models, so he definitely means the ceramic Daytona. For this reason, I still think he's giving up too much cash on top.
