Maybe I don't need a Sub after all...
Bahaha who am I kidding! Eventually I'll add one of course. But not today! -Jason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do not dump the Seiko SKX's.
Most definitely not trash and belong in any collection. Add a Speedmaster. Bit of chronograph action would make your collection awesome. |

That's what I keep thinking, the Moonwatch coming next. Oh, and this wasn't meant as a collection photo or anything, just something fun on a Friday. A collection photo would require a lot more real estate and they are all mostly there for sentimental reasons or just because I like watches and bought them through the years - mostly quartz's, nothing special. The 16570 is worth more than all of them combined, and there are probably 20+ more watches! -Jason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Love the Seikos! They'll never be Rolex, but that's not their raison d'être.

[QUOTE=natosub;7303359]Nonsense! Every collection needs a Submariner
Haha yeah I concur. I'll absolutely have one eventually. Likely the no date 14060. Plus a Speedmaster. Plus maybe a Calatrava when I hit 50 or 55. At least that's my thinking at the moment! -Jason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

To the OP, those seikos are awesome! No need to rush into any other watch... but you should still get a sub eventually Here are some pics of a couple of my skx009's, I end up with two in this strange turn of eBay events. |

Beautiful 16570 - in the last six-months that model has been obsessing me somewhat, probably my favorite second Rolex to add next (after my 114060), just something so unique about them, very distinctive but yet low-key for a Rolex. Superb.
As for the Seikos - only probably the most iconic & supremely capable divers from a company with a legitimate claim to being the greatest watch company ever. Aye, but apart from that, they're nothing special... |

I guess you weren't taught the old saying 'if one has nothing good to say....'
Further posts like that will have your stay here very short.

1) Seiko watches are workhorses. Nice set.
2) A Submariner is a great addition to any collection. Go for it! |

I love the skx defense, well deserved it's a true cult classic, and support for the sub.

The SKX is an awesome watch. My 18 year-old son wears the 007 on an aftermarket oyster-style bracelet as his daily.

Agreed. When you look back at the watches from which the SKX and Sub descend, their prices weren't all that far apart back in the 60s and 70s. Seikos have tracked much closer to inflation, while Rolex watches became Veblen goods.
