New to me GMT master II ,coke
So i bought a used 16710 today from a jewelry store.serial number R847XXX..opened back and confirmed the 16710 inside the case back(also at the lugs) and 3185 movement. The clasp reads 93150 and M6.the end links 503B and bracelet is stamped 78390.Does all this sound correct? Also were the bezel inserts(black, coke ,pepsi) specific to a serial number or can they simply be changed without causing a problem when servicing or repairing at RSC?Thanks for any help.

The only thing that sticks out as being odd is the bracelet should be 78360, not 78390. One of the bezel insert colors was original to the watch when new, but any color can be swapped without a problem. RSC doesnt care about the insert color, just a long as it is not an aftermarket insert. RSC's are known for sending watches back without servicing when aftermarket parts are found on the watch.

Moved from the wrong forum
The clasp, 93150, is from an extension Sub-style bracelet whereas the bracelet halves, 78390 and 503b ends, are from a Daytona Fliplock bracelet. The M6 code on the 93150 does indicate ~1988, and so I would suspect that this watch originally came with a 93150 extension bracelet which was offered at that time, but another Oyster bracelet was later fitted (78390) and the original clasp retained. As mentioned, there is no way to know what insert came on a GMT 16710 originally and the RSC will fit any color you request
