You can call it whatever you want - my roses don't look like that colour :-)

Got the email, was a tough call, but went with Cielo Colour and Camel Vacona Leather.

Contemplated the black dial, purple was nice, came down to Salmon or the Blue, went with my gut, should be lots of strap options to look at with that dial colour.

Behold!

Yup, too many black dial watches sealed the deal for me as far as taking black dial out of the equation.

I figure there will be tons of great strap options for this watch, already looking at some of the bespoke makers.

Very excited for this piece, the thought of a beautiful chime every hour is enchanting, the wait and anticipation is going to be wonderful!

Congratulations on yours as well.....

edited to add: Just watched the video from Watchfinder, and until mentioned, didn't notice as he points out - no "branding" on the dial, only the logo on the crown, so the watch face itself is pristine and clean, and that's Bel Canto i.e, "sounds good" :-)

I was also strongly contemplating the Cielo, before going purple. But this picture and points about strap options has me questioning my decision

Would the +/- 20sec/day bother anyone? I placed the deposit because i like the design and am unlikely to pay big money for another chiming type complications in the future

Figure I have a few months to decide if I want to cancel the deposit anyways.

Is that what we can expect for accuracy? That’s a bit disappointing along with the low power reserve.

Depending on how she is after a week or two on the wrist, i may re-regulate it. Easy to do and 'free' too

I can't believe that I'm such a sucker. I just bought a light blue one on a Ti bracelet. I've been fighting this since they were first released.

I ordered one during the presale, but ultimately ended up canceling. First I couldn't decide on color. I could see the case for each, but I wasn't totally in love with any of them. Obviously a cool watch, but I realized I would probably never wear it. Oh well!

Was it simply a matter of color, or you decided you wouldn’t wear it based on design/function compared to your other watches?
You do highlight a good point for me at least, which is to ask if I’ll actually wear it enough to justify the cost, even if modest.

Have to say I’m very impressed with mine, arrived 23rd and I wore it solely over Christmas and New Year - great piece and punches much higher than it’s price point suggests.

How long before you received it after you ordered it. I'm not certain when to expect mine.

Not sure if they are going in sequence, I’m number 104, ordered on the day of release (first hour I think) and delivered on December 23rd.

It’s cool; it unique. And yes it’s a great value for the money. But the macros they keep posting don’t do the watch any favors. I don’t love the colors. But I’m also not sure what color I’d even want it in.
I’d wear it once and it might look cool in the box, but just don’t see myself wearing it (probably within the context of my greater collection).

But that’s solely my opinion!

Am hoping they're able to fine-tune things a bit for the next batch. Sometimes being 'first out of the gate' with some new releases means you're also kinda a beta tester of sorts. Rest assured i'll post marcos of the purple dial version when it arrives here.

Totally understand. Saw the blue when it was posted on their website and could have gotten it, but OMG have soooo many blue dial timepieces do i really need another???? Nope. It's a personal preference of course, and for me a purple dial is hot hot hot :).

Hahaha... what do you think this is... Czapek? I highly doubt that there will be "fine-tuning".

Thank you, Russell; that does actually say a lot about this piece.

I was going to ask which color would have won you over :) But again, your point is well taken. Sometimes I catch myself admiring pieces in the watch box as opposed to on my wrist, which is inappropriate (for me)…so I’ve been trying to be extra thoughtful about each purchase. Still, the narrative I imagine in my mind doesn’t always play out in reality.

That means we should have delivery dates available for those who preordered one of the 4 new colours? I remember reading/hearing somewhere that CW will send delivery dates before these go up for sale..

You should have. CW sent an email to pre-order for those that registered interest back on Dec 20 2022. Check your SPAM folder - mine was there.

The link to pre-order has been now closed and mentions sold out. I guess now so close to regular launch, CW may just wait to push out to the public.

See my post above, again, ordering reopens on 19 January at 4:00PM GMT time per received email.

FWIW, I found the following reviews pretty interesting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9RwelExeQk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxbjQ7bS0yw

Also as far as notifications are concerned; their email from my order says the following:

Quote:
Congratulations!

By placing a deposit you have successfully
secured your Bel Canto.

We will be scheduling the build of your watch in the next few weeks and
will be in touch towards the end of January with the estimated delivery date.

We will be keeping you informed during the manufacturing
process so you can keep track of your Bel Canto’s progress.
And, of course, we’ll contact you when it’s ready to ship.

Only at this point will you need to pay the balance owed.
You will also be able to add any further strap option.

Finally, I would like to thank you for placing an order for your own,
built-to-order, Bel Canto. It’s an exceptional timepiece that has
captured the imagination of the entire watch world and we feel
privileged to be making one for you.

Best wishes,
