First known WHITE Milgauss GV......:)

This is a white dial Milgauss with a GV splash of green.

It is the actual watch, no photoshop.

WhiteGV1.jpg

The white dial has a tinge of green with the GV crystal, but it seems to work pretty well, depending upon your opinion.
WhiteGV3.jpg

I personally like the slightly off white appearance of the dial and the green edge of the crystal.

Thanks Dave, well I like it, but I guess it is not everyones cup of tea.

Anyway, it was great to catch up last night at the Sydney GTG.

I made it back home this afternoon.

Thank you for flying over I would love to head over your direction this year sometime, if not on business, I think a boys weekend would be a great excuse for a GTG.

NO.......NO........NO.........THIS MEANS MY GREAT IDEA FOR MY BLACK GV TO BE MY RETIREMENT PLAN HAS JUST GONE UP IN SMOKE,.................................. .back to the drawing board!!!!!

To be serious.....I'm not so sure about the white dial, kind of makes it ......errrrr........................no longer white.
IMHO, I think the black dial may be a more subtle application of the GV crystal.

A very 'summer' look - like a white dial 'gauss wearing shades

Interesting project - what's the story?

Cheers

I think it looks great! It actually gives a bit more life to the otherwise almost stark white dial. The white dial is the least favourite of the three Milgauss models, but the green crystal gives it a bit of a spark. I actually like it better than the regular GV. My personal choice is the black dial with clear crystal, which I now own, however this puts a new slant on the white dial.
To me, the regular GV is just too "busy": Two different color markers along with the green crystal and the smaller numeral markers at the edge of the dial.
Excellent look!
Cheers,
Carl

One word - "Franken"!
Steve, I would be very interested to see the other half of the jeckel and hyde.

BTW, the white balance of the photos need to be fixed. Here you go.

Well the story is pretty simple really.
You take a green crystal milgauss and you put a white dial on it, or you get a white milgauss and you put a green crystal on it or you swap the movements and dials and there you have it.
So now I have a crystal clear milgauss with orange 3,6,9 hour markers. I haven't taken any photos of that as yet, but it looks pretty good too.
All completely 100% rolex parts and reversable by a good watchmaker in a very short time at a very moderate cost.

What is quite interesting is the extent to which the white dial displays a green tint. It seems to vary somewhat depending on the lighting conditions and angle of view. However the orange markers on the dial remain orange, as does the orange 'MILGUASS' on the dial. The black boarder around the hour markers seems to come alive a little more and it really is a very interesting visual effect.

Its cool because it is unique and unseen before, but I would love to see it with the standard (non-gv) BLACK dial - without the multicoloured indices.

THAT is my perfect combo - I think I mentioned it to you Stevo when we spoke on the phone, no? That thing is stunning, man - glad to see one in real life (well, photos anyway ) So you have two Millies now? Also, can we see the other one (white/orange markers, clear crystal) pretty please?!

The white GV is a stunner, man - congrats!

That looks great.............

I've always thought that the rolex White dials were just too white and I keep hopinhg for a cream dial...but the green glass tones it down nicely......

So Steve has the same two modern Milgauss versions as me, good taste.

I've not got the 1019 Classic unlike Steve though.

I'm keeping my two original since I really do like the ice white dial but I can't wait to see the GV with the standard crystal fitted.

I like when people experiment. There are some very creative people on this forum that come up with variations that I would like to see Rolex produce, this Milgauss being one of them. Nice job Stevo.

That's great and a combo I've been thinking about for a while. There is a like-new white Millgauss available locally for a great price (about 75% of RRP). I'll probably pick up tomorrow and if so, may give this a try...
