So, regarding prices, there will be 3 price levels for the same watch but at a different released date:

Example: EXP-I (114270) in AD stocks, EXP-I (114270) new arrive with the price hike, and the newly besel design EXP-I (214270) ? and likewise for the SS Sub? Current in stockt 16610, new order 16610, and the all new 2010 basel 16610LN ?

I'm just a little confused.

Wait till the new prices are actually announced. Why confuse yourself from now with things that have not yet happened?

Rolex is definitely pricing their wastches, based on their past history and reputation.

When you take into consideration the 20% discounts from an AD, the difference in price between the 16610 ($4800) and 116610 ($5800) is only $1000. $1000 more for the new version is a steal.

US AD. Ships around the world. It's better for me to buy from the US than here in Canada. My Canada AD is willing to go as high as 22% off but with the lower retail prices in the US and the strong Canadian dollar (on par with $US 1:1), I am better off buying from the US AD. I also saved on the high Canadian sales tax of 13% (Toronto Ontario).

Here is an example - Brand new Sub 14060 ND:

Canada
Retail Price - $6320
22% Disc - $1,390.40
Pre-tax price - $4,929.60
13% Tax - $640.85
Total - $5,570.45

US
Retail Price - $5,450
20% Disc - $1,090
Pre-tax price - $4,360
Tax (out of state sale) - $0
Shipping to Toronto - $50
Total - $4,410

Savings - $1,160.45

As you can see, Canadians are getting @#$% by our own ADs.

Most people here are aware of the methods used to avoid high brokerage/tax/duty charges of shipping goods to Canada. I'm glad my US AD also knows all the tricks in the book.

Based on past history regarding the release of updated or new models, it is very unlikely that an AD will be discounting a new model, such as the 116610 any time soon. Rolex seems to take advantage of releases such as this one and controls distribution as long as they can to take advantage of full retail pricing by limiting supplies to ADs.

I'll call the AD and find out if i can get a discount on the new Sub Date 116610. But with the 20% discount, $4800 for a brand new Sub Date 16610 from an AD is awesome! You guys in the US are lucky!

I think that you will find little or no discount on the new models for some time. In fact, many will decrease the discount on the discontinued ones as well. There are always people who prefer the older design, and they will be coming out of the woodwork to get a new "old" one before it is too late.

X2 -- That is exactly how it plays out with most AD's
