The whole story. Without holes.

This isn't easy for me. And Im not asking for an apology. So bear with me for one last time. The watch is fake. AD told me. I just couldn't come here and say " I got a fake!" The mayority would ridicule me. Say things like "Ha! The 15 yr old got scammed, poor inmature boy" or things like tht. Dont tell me, "we wouldnt do such thing" yes u would and u did indirectly in the other threads. I might be a bad liar, but ik how the world is and how adults, i've learned with you all. Others have said my DJ was fake or was never mine, you are wrong. And i do take that as an insult. But think what u want. I already have a hat that says "liar" on top of my head. Also, i'd like to mention that here, i only had a handful of friends. Almost all walked out on me. I have to say that only 4 of 40,000 have asked for my mental health and have sticked to the end with me. Those are, Randy, Rafa, Kyle and Matt. I thank u guys for ur real friendship and I hope we can continue to comunicate in the future. Well i think i said everything i needed to say. Now, I depart the Rolex General Discussion and be at the Open Bar and open discussion forum. I'll let now members to riducule me or to do as they wish. Thanks for reading.

Gaby,

I don't think anyone here would ridicule you for being scammed. There are many every day, older than you, who are scammed. Unfortunately, it is how the world is these days. I am sorry to hear this bad news. But I really believe you are wrong about how the members of this fine forum will react to what you have shared with us. It will be a sad testament if they treat you in any way other than compassionately.

All the best,
Mike

No, I haven't. Work has been rough the last couple of weeks, and I just haven't had time to keep up. But I still don't think you are giving enough credit to the vast majority of the members here. While I clearly don't know everything that is going on, I don't think anyone here will be cruel to you. If you are in the wrong somehow and take a tongue lashing or two, you may want to see it as a learning experience and use it to grow as a person. As always, this is my opinion only.

So Gaby, good on you to fess up on the later part of your story, questions still remain:
1. Did you (or your dad) buy that watch? Did you/your dad pay a princely sum of several thousand US dollars for it?
2. If so, who is the seller?
3. Who are the references ("vouches") you mentioned in the other threads? Did you do reference checks on the seller?

2careless:

1. Dad with his credit card
2. Yes, several thousand
3. I will disclose all of that when i get back my internet network back up. Im on my iPhone at the moment. I will give all info Asap.
4. I saw reviews on some past transactions he did. He did well. Nothing alarmed me. I didnt go further. I get easily convinced, lesson learned.

Gaby,

I'm so sorry to hear of this. This kind of things happen to many people, most won't admit it. I was scammed out of $55k in 2004, I did my due diligence, reference checks, etc. I guess these things just happen. So I understand how you feel. Just keep your head up and I'm sure all will work out in the end.

Take care,
Renato

I understand your sentiment and expectation of ridicule, Gaby. I've felt the same way in groups of peers and adults before in different situations. It's never fun to be ostracized.

However I do feel that this community is more tolerant and rational than some communities I have seen "in real life" (i.e. not on the Internet).

Not a comment that will win you more friends.

IMO the open bar at TRF is where most of your problems began, stay out of there and give yourself some time out.

I don't know why this whole fiasco is continuing.

First it was a fake Montblanc pen then it was a fake Rolex.

One minute you are telling a mod you are too embarassed to come back and want to be banned, the next minute you are posting this whole thing all over again with more holes than Swiss Cheese.

I would have thought for the good of the forum that you withdraw yourself.

Rockrolex clearly said no more threads on this topic. This is the 4th thread and it seems to be going on and on.

I'm sorry but I'm putting an end to it now, in the only way I can guarantee finality.
