GMT 16750 Bezel Insert Problem

Had the wife stop by the local grey market repair / jeweler yesterday to pick me up a new 16750 GMT Pepsi bezel insert. Got home today to check it out, and noticed its narrower then the original. The original mics out at 3.7 mm and this one is 3.5. It grabbed my eye right away because the numbers just seemed smaller. Both OD’s are 37.5. Any ideas obviously I don’t think it’s the correct insert.

I guess you got a insert to a sapphire model.

Yup, the GMT bezel inserts are different than the GMTII bezel inserts.

Here's your difference, both green lines are the same size

And the back side
Plexi models 1675(0) on the left, Sapphire models (16700) on the right
16750 inserts are blue also

It's always hard to find the right one.

updated with pics

Bezel on left came out of the 16750 GMT. The one on right is the one I picked up. I clearly see the step and differences in bezels. Both have blue backs.

Greetings.

I have found the attached link (in the second and third page) very helpful in determining the insert part number for the different Rolex Submariners and GMTs. And yes indeed, the GMT 16700/710 have a different part number than the 16750 for thier respective inserts. The pictures there also help.

Best regards.
