Thanks for another great TRF post!

...and I always thought Rolexes were hand made by little old men on a workbench slaving for a year to make one watch!

Ladies and Gentlemen ... the final touch !!

( courtesy Carlo Pergola , a true 1655 expert )
mk6 and mk7 are Beyeler dials ( service dials made after the freccione production has ended around the middle of the 80s ).

OK Maestro. Thanks for the great info. So I guess the "lone B" Beyeler punch is from the mid 80's because I just posted some info on the Mark VI dial courtesy of Stefano Mazariol on the other "Poll" post. It has the punch like my 1680.

Yes, the French like the Italians are also stupborn

I would say more 90s than the second half of the 80s ( the indexes are a very important clue ) .

Got it Maestro. I'll never doubt you again.......until the next time we disagree that is

Vive la Centre Nationale pour l'eXploitation des Oceans!

By the way, I didn't know that Beyeler made the dials for the Ploprof. Thanks for that. I had the even rarer Omega 1000m monocoque on a mesh bracelet (traded it in on another watch though). It was a unique watch. I love watching the old Jacques Cousteau documentaries and seeing guys actually diving with these:

Marcello you are a true gentleman to take the time to post pics of the backs of dials labeled Beyeler over the span of two decades. All of this done in a true spirit of camaraderie to find the truth. I tip my hat to you and promise a drink myself should we meet sometime.

Wow, didn't know that's how the back of the dial looked, thanks for that. When I someday open my red 1680 mk6, am hoping to see "Beyler" printed on the back of it's dial:), am I right?
