Saw these a while back and was wondering who was going to buy them. Congrats on getting what you wanted

It was built by my friend Steffen. He is a skilled watchmaker, and lives on Lake Constance in Germany.

Hi,
is that PVD or DLC coating? Reason I ask is that I own a Chopard Mille Miglia Limited series watch that is DLC (diamond like carbon) coated, and I am afraid that with time the coating might fade out or it would easily scratch. |

PVD is scratching easily, but if it is DLC it is functionally very good.. (aesthetically apart, which is personal)

I think it looks pretty sweet, but I'm guessing I wouldn't like the price tag!

I normally take the view that it's difficult to make a custom Rolex look good...and I still prefer my standard DSSD, but I do like the Deep Blue!

Just for information: How does Rolex treat such a Watch in case of a Service in the future?

Congrats on getting number 1 of 50! Most companies tend to keep their number 1's of their limited editions. Even companies as big as Omega! Lovely watch and you can be constantly reminded that you got the very first one.
