My First Rolex BLNR BLUE/BLACK GMT 116710 SUPER JUBILEE BRACELET
Been lurking for about a year or so, this is my first post.you guys are great and helped me make a tough decision.
I bought this BLNR over the weekend in Vancouver,Canada.I got the center link brushed on the oyster,it looked great but I went back in the store and bought a super jubilee and it's been on my wrist since.I can't stop looking at it,is there something wrong with me? haha I'm 40 now but remember going through my parents rolex booklets since I was 10 or so and starring at the GMT Coke.My father has a GMT 18k on a jubilee and we're both private pilots. We had a house fire when I was a teen and when it was time to go shopping for the things we lost in the fire I asked my Dad for a rolex instead of stereo/camping equipment, ect. He thought about it and said no,he said a rolex is something you earn and work hard for and save up for.Didn't know it at the time but he was right. Since the Black/Blue GMT came out in the spring I was back and forth with this and the Coke but for several reasons I picked the BLNR and I'm very happy. I'll post a few pic's,if you want more let me know...I don't have the tool just yet to switch back the the oyster so no pics with it on. any questions just ask. thanks George |

Love the watch
Don't love the jubilee but it's what moves you that counts. I'm wearing mine now with the oyster/pcl's and think it's perfect. |

That really looks good. Should be an option from rolex imo.

That is a great entry and watch welcome to the forum
Was the super jubilee easy to source? I heard many stories on how difficult it is to source one

T.S.Eliot , they had 2 or 3 just sittin there.I told them what I wanted to do and got a funny look from the sales guy, the owner came out and said it won't fit,I said ya it will, the guys at rolex forums are doing it!, you just need to use the DJ 1.8mm springbars,he said ok I'll try and took off the PCL bracelet and put on the jubilee no problem.they both loved the look. it was 1440.00 plus tax

Do all ADs offer the Jubilee as an option on the new GMTs or was this a special situation?
