Can aftermarket diamonds be removed from a President bracelet?
Hello,
As per title really - can aftermarket diamonds be removed from a President bracelet and it be restored to its original state? I am thinking White Gold, so there may be a problem with the 'Rolesor' alloy - or perhaps the links could be filed down to remove the indentations of the diamonds? If so, could it be 'normal' enough such that Rolex would accept the watch for a service? While I am here, I know bezels and dials can generally be changed out, but can aftermarket diamond lugs be restored to their original state and again, if so, to an extent that Rolex would accept the watch for service? No idea if this is in any way realistic at all! Thanks for any replies! Kind regards |

I do not think they can be restored since they have to have metal removed to set the diamonds.

You could just sell the band and pick up one without stones.
Note: I'm not a watchmaker.

And if so, would Rolex accept the restored bracelet when servicing the watch? |

It can be done, but it won't be cost effective at all. The case would need serious work to restore the lugs.

Of course the bigger diamonds = bigger holes to solder. A picture of the watch in question would help. |

I think Rolex would accept the watch with a restored bracelet no problem with that.
