How does this person have 100% feedback!

Look at the fake plastic protective sleeve in pic 4.

So in your opinion a watch with a plastic protective sleeve has to be a fake?

I don't see anything wrong with this one.

The listing says the dial is aftermarket., so not a real Rolex dial. If it's not from Rolex, it's a fake.

I get the dial part and it's disclosed on the listing other than that the watch looks good to me. Maybe I'm missing something.

while I'm sure there are good deals, etc. I stay away from eBay for watches based on what I've seen here on TRF.

How do you know it's fake plastic? Looks like real plastic to me.

It's not the first time this seller has been questioned. He is also a member here, selling in the classifieds, including a James Cameron dial. Heres a sample thread.

Didn't he want an obscene amount of money for the "original" D-Blue dial as well?

So you buy a watch for $12,300 USD (give or take), replace the dial with a fake dial and try to get $11,000 USD, all while selling the original dial for $5000 more or whatever it was that he wanted??? This is not good.

And who knows if this D Blue is actually properly pressure tested to hold up to its advertised specs.

Is he still allowed to sell here?

Disclosed or not, if it's aftermarket and has proprietary markings, i.e. Rolex coronet, wording, etc., it is considered trademark infringement and is counterfeit.

He sells aftermarket only on eBay so technically he is not infringing the rules here.

It's not rules, it's law. A fake is fake here and anywhere. He should be kicked out of TRF and reported on eBay.

To clarify, the plastic protective sleeve is not Rolex authentic. That's all I was implying.

Exactly. I'm amazed at how people think trademark infringement is okay just because a seller discloses it.
