FSOT: Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope Black Automatic 027/4601.00 Milanaise & Leather

Max Bill was one of the most unusual artists of our time. Acknowledged as a universal genius, he worked as an architect, painter, sculptor and product designer and has left behind an extensive portfolio of creations.

This includes one of the most fascinating watch series ever designed – the clocks and wristwatches he created for Junghans – and which remain practically unchanged today.

This self-winding piece is a beautiful array of impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. The comfort of the milanaise bracelet along with the accuracy of the chronoscope movement is sure to please. The classic sophistication of this striking time piece is emphasized by its well-designed display on a polished black face accompanied by a smooth calfskin band.

Reference: # 027/4601.00
Display: Hour, minute, second, date, chronoscope with second stop
Case: Polished stainless steel, Convex hard plexiglass with SICRALAN coating, Waterproof
Caliber of case: 40.00 mm
Height of case: 14.4 mm
Lug to lug: 42.5 mm
Strap: Stainless steel milanaise bracelet with safety buckle
Strap width: 20 mm
Dial/ Hands: Matte silver, Hour and minute hands with environmentally friendly luminous "Super Luminova" substance
Movement: Self-winding movement J880.2 (ETA 7750 base)
Weight: With stainless steel bracelet: 95 g
Accessories: Genuine calf skin leather strap, Generic Milanaise bracelet, Original Box

The SICRALAN MRL UV coating method was developed for suppliers to the automotive industry. This transparent coating causes a functional and aesthetic value: increased scratch resistance, improved UV and chemical resistance and a more intense deep gloss of the plexiglass
The watch is in overall Good condition. Stainless steel case in very good condition. Small dent at 6 o'clock between the lugs with 3-4 hairline scratches on the plexiglass crystal, which is very difficult to see unless it's at the right angle.

Price: $1450 (includes PP fees and shipping w/i US). Happy to send overseas but buyer responsible for actual shipping price.

Trades considered if in my favor. Major bands only.

Any questions, please PM me. Check out my feedback here!

Thank you for looking!
