1969 speedmaster mk II tropical
Hello everyone.
Due to recent job loss I am forced to sell one of my babies. This is a tropical dial speedmaster mk II from 1969 or so. It comes on the original and unusual bracelet that is in good condition and ready to wear. Dial is original and is a dark chocolate brown. This can be seen as compared to the original crystal tachymeter scale. I believe the hands may have been replaced at some point as they are slightly whiter (lume) than the dial. I also suspect the crown and pushers have as well, due to condition. If the case was repolished, it was done by Omega because it looks like a perfect polish under all the scratches. Based on how nice the case back looks, I am comfortable saying it was never polished but please see the photos and draw your own conclusions. Watch runs well and keeps excellent time. Chronograph works flawlessly and snaps to zero sharply. Movement is the 871 and service history is not known. Note bracelet clasp has a number engraved by hand that may buff off. I have not tried. This same number is engraved inside the caseback, also by hand. I suspect this was done by the original owner. Any questions feel free to ask. I have 100% positive feedback on eBay since the turn of the century and have bought here as well. No surprises. 3 day return privilege at your expense. Price includes insured shipping in conus. Please add PayPal fees if you prefer to pay that way. PM me for a quote to the rest of the world. Offered at $2000.00 usd |

A couple new photos by request to capture the dial color.
Dark chocolate brown is a good description. Compare to black tackymeter ring for reference. |

It's subtle, but clearly not jet black anymore. It's on a medium brown pad.
Bracelet size is generous. It fits normal size wrist (7-1/2 or so) with more adjustment in the clasp larger; links can be removed to make it smaller. |
