Has your Rolex help you to make an important decision in your life?

Well, I brought my wife at 12 pm to see the doctor. She had an ultrasound. The doctor says the baby looks ready to be born. Since it is going to be a C section, he could do it today or Monday. My wife asked me what to do, I look at the date and see that it is September the five. Then I realized I am wearing a LV and LV is 50 which is related to the number five. I told the doctor, “today is a good day”. I have not told my wife I made the decision because of my LV. I think my son will forgive me once that he inherits my LV . He will be here at 9 PM. That’s just one hour from now. I have free wifi at the hospital so I just wanted everyone to know.

My Rolex gives me a clue as to when to go to lunch.

All the best to you, your wife, and son. Pics of him with his future Rolex, please. Why wait for him to inherit it? Give it to him while you are still around so you can see him enjoy it.

I'm sure you will.

Congrats, hope all is well, and get the hell out of here and into something that's really important!

Buying a rolex and owning one has taught me a few good lessons.

Buying and paying for quality once may be expensive but less expensive than buying a cheap version and when it breaks having to put out even more to go get a quality one.

Ive had just about every other dive watch, they self destructed within 2 years more or less. Rolex just keep working.

Rolex has taught me to always pay a little more to get a good version of what I want to buy be it a car, boat, watch. Dont cheap out, go big or stay at home, reach for the stars, grab the brass ring, carpus deum. never quit. timing is everything. oh these lessons pile up. But most of all it taught me "no one ever regretted buying quality and service ever"

Congratulations on your new family member! Although my Rolex didn't help me make an important decision, it helped me through a particularly bad period in my life. It happened way back in 1987 during a personal crisis that led to one of the most depressing episodes I had ever to suffer from. I asked myself "what would you really like?'' in order to try and drag myself out of a huge depression, and the answer was a Rolex. I had always wanted one but never took the plunge. So off I went and got myself a SS GMTII, a new model at the time, having been just introduced in 1986 I think. Thank goodness it worked - I cheered up, the depression passed and I've not looked back ever since! So there you go - I bet many of us in TRF have something significant to attach to our Rolexes just like you or I and I bet most of these memories are good. Congratulations again and best regards to you and your family!

Julio César Lezama III is here. He is very healthy. The baby weights 3,460 grams and is 50 centimeters long. Heidi is doing great. I can´t describe my happiness. I feel like if I am not in this world. I thought that feeling could not repeat after having my first baby, but it does. My daughter Chloé could not be at the hospital since she goes bed early, but she will see her baby brother tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes.

Congratulations Julio and welcome to Julio III. Julio, you are in expensive trouble if his first word is "Rolex."

You know, Julio deserves some kind of award from the TRF site. People have posted pictures of themselves wearing their Rolexes riding motorcycles, diving underwater, in the cockpit while flying, but Julio, THE MAN, takes a picture of him wearing a Rolex while his son is being born! My Friend, you win the prize in my book!

Thanks for the correction. You are 100% right. I wrote to fast without thinking too much. I should say that the LV represents the 50th anniversary of the submariner and the first letters of the words Lunette Verde form the number 55 in the roman language. Where did my expensive education go? Well, Heidi is with me right now. We are ready to rest. Today was a very long day. Thanks again to everyone for all those good wishes.

Big congratulations to you all, BTW I would hide those pictures from your wife until her hormones sort themselves out, putting the watch centre stage might not go down too well

Well congrats on the birth, I hope that your wife is feeling better and that both mother and son are both in good health. I agree with MArtin, I know my wife was very up an down after the birth.
