This is NOT a Panerai!

But it is one of the Ken Trading Company original RXW model watches. You can now find cheap copies of this watch for a few hundred dollars. I can assure you this is not one of those and this is a fine timepiece.

RXW is/was a Japanese based watch making company. It is my understanding that they made 200 of this model watch. As you might expect, they received a cease and desist from Panerai. But the watches had already all been sold. So the company did not make anymore, but these have become extremely hard to find and are now highly collectible.

It has a 47mm stainless steel case, with a locking crown and a flat dome sapphire scratch resistant crystal. The black dial is a two layer "sandwich" dial boasting the words "Marina Militare". I don't think the company was allowed to put on the dial either, as they did not have the licensing rights to use it.

The RXW comes with a durable high quality Unitas mechanical movement which is protected by a 316L Stainless Steel 47mm case with anti magnetic properties and is 100 meters water safe. It comes with two straps, box and Ken Trading papers and is in like new condition. The cost is a fraction of the Panerai PAM 127 and even thousands less than the Panerai PAM 372. Even pre owned Panerai watches will cost more than this watch.
