Never eaten at Onodera in New York, but the one in London is risible. (I may also hold a grudge against it for replacing the beloved Matsuri, the last
grande dame of Japan's bubble over-exuberance to remain in the city.)
If you're downtown at all, Sushi Nakazawa in the West Village is fantastic. (Edited to say that Raemondo has exquisite taste ;) and that Yasuda is on the list next time I'm in NYC.)
