I'm sorry I can't help you out. The 36 is a great size and was the standard for decades.

Yes 50mm+ is now fashionable but you need to do what you are comfortable with. I personally love the 40mm watches and think that is the perfect size.

I owned a DD36 for a few years but eventually sold it and later acquired a DD40 and I could not be happier.

There are no wrong decisions here. The 36 will fit you fine. BUT if you feel it may be too small then jump to 40 and never look back.
