For the "small" price differential, I would buy new at an AD and avoid even a slightly polished used one. Even some slight polishing can look 'bad' in certain respects.
Plus you will be putting your own history (patina, scratches, dings etc.,) on it -- making it more "valuable" to you and whomever it is eventually passed along.
This is not a difficult watch to get from an AD.
