I first gave my wife an apple watch and then bought her a new SS Daytona. Don't think she ever wore the Apple watch since. She started wearing the Daytona until she saw my new Brellum. She took that and gave me the Daytona. I haven't seen her wearing the apple watch since the Daytona.
Personally, I don't wear any smart watch because I can't stand notifications (and the interruptions) and the fact a mechanical watch is much more discreet when I'm in a meeting and need to check time. I noticed I significantly cut down checking my phone after wearing a mechanical watch.
