Being in the Canadian Navy for the last 15 years, I have seen the basic Timex and Casio watches the most. Wearing a $10K Rolex while sailing or being deployed is not the smartest thing in my opinion.

My "sailing" watch is the Marathon GSAR or the TSAR and as a back up the Casio DW-5600.
