Trying to fit a particular dial choice or configuration into the "rare" category, or imply that collectors are hoarding certain dials, is a stretch.
You could have had your Day Date in any of a hundred different dials, and you can still change them if you can find them.
These are not the things that make a watch "rare" to a collector. Of course, trying to find something unique with ones Rolex is almost considered a sport.
