Just to update in case anyone finds this thread from a google search: I took the watch to my local RSC and they confirmed the crystal was after-market. They replaced it as part of a ‘basic service’ which totalled €305. The seller I bought it from who is otherwise reputable apologised profusely and paid for the replacement crystal. It all worked out in the end! Thanks for your help guys.
