At night I wear a very bright Tritium MARATHON Navigator Pilot watch. With my bad closeup vision, the brightness is perfect to see the time, although blurry, if I awaken at an early hour. Tritium brightness makes it far easier for me to read than the less-than-adequate Superluminova watch dials.
Being retired, there is no need for us to use a digital alarm clock/clock radio, which always lit the room up too much anyway.
