If you are just concerned about whether your watch with have the gen1 or gen2 movement, then just try it out before you buy it.
If you are just concerned about the whole thing in general and lack of info, then fair enough.
It don't think it is a change to enable them to meet the 70 year warranty as my PAM1122 has hacking seconds.
