It certainly is very difficult to see any of the Rolex models in real life. Any dealer in my city has very few. Especially the newer Oyster Perpetual models with the pink dial. I'm a guy, but I love pink, and would really like to see one in real life myself!

Wish I could give you some advice. Do you have any relationship at all with the AD? You could ask if they would call you when they get one in, which of course would be for another client. At least you could see the color in real life. Also, if the require a deposit. It seems like you can't really order a new Rolex. The AD seems to have pretty much only what Rolex sends them available. They get a watch, then see who in next on the list for that model. Of course, some ADs will not even put you on a list if you have no prior history with them.

Come to think of it, I have seen a pink dial Datejust 36. It was a dial with Roman Numerals and some diamonds. But it was definitely pink, not salmon or some other variant. It is beautiful.

Good luck with your search. Let us know when you make your decision.

Cheers,
Carl
