TBH I don't like the waves on the Seamaster either, no matter if feminine or not. There the waves makes sense in terms of alluding to the watch being a diver.

Truth is the 7118 was launched and is marketed as a ladies watch. Many traditional Nautilus design elements are softened to make it appealing to the ladies. IMO these changes are for the worse, and I'd recommend 3800/5800 for a smaller Nautilus, no matter if for a girl or a guy. Of course there is nothing wrong if a guy prefers the 7118 over the more traditional Nautilus variants. But I don't think it is a great idea to get it as a consolation or cheaper alternative.
