My 2 cents:
If one would handle his car like his watch I am 100% sure the costs for restoring the dents, restoring the paintwork, new windscreen, etc. of the exterior would be percentage wise much higher than a rolex worn for maybe 20 years which needs some refinishing of the case, a new bezel and inlay and a bracelet.
