I think personally, this is Watch Rapport's clever way to shore up their credentials for an AD from Rolex.

But there are enough things to be concerned about, especially the fact that you can't dispute a charge after 6 months.

Secondly, I've requested them to cancel and refund my order a few weeks back and I still have not received it. Granted I have not pushed them on this beyond the initial email, but the internet is so full of fake stores especially around watches, crypto miners, etc, that precaution would be a good thing.

Also, I think the domain owner of watchrapport the address ended up being a shitty WeWork office in northern nevada, which made me kind of sus.

Lastly, the site is decent but kind of clunky and is built a bit weirdly awkward. It feels like something made by someone in Russia or China or North Korea or something. The UX feels more like 2002 rather than 2022.

SO with that, i'll be fiiling a dispute with my CC today.

Funny tip - if you go to the preorder order website, you can look up anyone's order number by guessing it. I've confirmed that no order has been filled since i've been monitoring it last Oct ish.
