It’s called language and we have our own sociolects here. I think it builds community, can create empathy and can allow us to mentally deal with this crazy hobby. “Buy” and “sell” are pretty simple, direct terms but “pull the trigger” or “let go” can help the speaker deal with feelings about a watch purchase or sale.
