Links taper down to the size of the last permanent link....after that, they are all the same..

Removing a permanent link is virtually unnoticeable.. Buying another screw link and the bracelet is back to the same exact size as originally.

On the latest bracelets, they now use an additional screw link on the 6 o'clock side so bracelets can be taken down to 4 links........ removing a permanent link is already done for you now on the Daytona, GMTII, etc....

They just pull apart........although it is a tight press fit and unless you are very very good, or very lucky, it usually ends up in marring the one removed and it will either need to be refinished or tossed........ they will press back together and with a small drop of loctite, become permanent once again..
