Contrary to Padi's preference, between the SD and the Sub, I would opt for the Sub, precisely because of the cyclops. I prefer the cyclops to the wimpy little date window on the SD.

I would only go for the SD if you were planning to tank dive to 1000 m or more. Since I don't dive more than 1 m, I would have no need for the helium valve on the SD.
