I think the iconic Panerai's have the:
1. 1950 or 1940 case
2. domed bezel,
3. sandwich dial
4. crown guard on the non-Radiomir models
5. exhibition back
6. manual wind
My problem is the 47mm case is just too big. If it weren't, I would own:
372 - Classic/Simple
127 - Classic/Simple/Historic
690/932 - represents Radiomir well/beautiful blue dial
670 - while a little busy, a titanium case
972 - Firenzi/engraved
That being said, even the 44mm is sort of big, however every Panerai collection should have the 233. It is the best of everything the brand used to represent: beautiful, rugged, functional and bold.
