Thanks. I'm thinking about it. I am not looking for a gilt dial full restoration... currently. I probably won't ever, even if a dial pops up. With the original hands the appearance would be more original but I'd be out a decent amount of cash for a minor improvement. That said nothing on this reference is "cheap".

I agree nobody can decide for me. Most wouldn't touch a service dial as it is, but I'm cool with it for a 6538 specifically.
