This thread captures what I have done the past two years.
In April 2021, I picked up a Rolex 36MM Datejust and caught the bug. By the end of 2021, I had 13 watches:
3 Rolex 36mm Datejusts in different combinations, a new Rolex 36mm Explorer, a Breguet Marine, Cartier Santos, Glashutte SeaQ, Zenith El Primero, Grand Seiko SWB231, AP Royal Oak 37mm, Vacheron Traditionnelle, and two Patek Calatravas.
Heading in 2023, I have consolidated into a core set of four watches that I love as a collection in which each watch has a role and gets regular use:
1 Rolex Datejust 36mm; 1 AP Royal Oak 37mm; one black dial Patek 5227; one white dial Patek 5127G.
I have zero plans to buy any more watches unless my trusty AD’s offer me the things that no one can get, in which case I would add 1 Patek Aquanaut and 1 Rolex Daytona. Other than pining for a Patek 5107R, I’m set for life. In fact, this is likely my last post on the forum for a bit, while I turn my watch obsession energy into other things. What a ride. Thanks, forum!
