Since them I've had plenty of other 50m WR sports watches and all of them have been fine with surface swimming. Where you have worry is with 30m WR watches as that's basically splash proof (and in the case of the Breitling Navitimer, not even that).
Agreed, but, again, I’d be careful doing it with any manual wind watch like the Speedy.
