Firstly, thanks for the forum, I’ve lost days reading through a tiny fraction of the posts on here since I joined a couple of weeks ago.
Still getting my head around searching specifics so apologies in advance of this is covered elsewhere.
My wife’s dad has handed her his early 1990s OP Date ref 15238 as he no longer wears it. He’s a big guy and the bracelet needs resizing so she (and maybe me too if she’ll let me, we have similar sized wrists) can wear it.
The bracelet is ref 7205. The clasp adjustment is on its smallest setting so links need removing. I have taken links out of non-Rolex ss bracelets before and I have a wee tool kit for basics; however the links look riveted and I’m very much thinking I should leave it to someone who knows what they are doing. There is a service centre in Glasgow where I work from time to time.
Am I right in leaving it to the pros, or is there an easy, if not obvious way of doing it?
