I think folks prefer the design of the new case over the 96 Calatrava design of the 5170. The rim of the 5170, as big as it is, is easy to nick on an edge which can then causes light to reflect off of the nick to make it seem bigger than it is.
I think 39.5 is a better size than 41. So, it is a tough choice for me.
